Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information A-One Fencing & Gates collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can access or correct it. It applies to this website and to enquiries you make through it.

Who we are
A-One Fencing & Gates is a family-owned fencing and gates installer based in Carrara, Gold Coast, Queensland. We hold QBCC licence 15249899 and NSW licence 388269C. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
We collect two kinds of information, and we keep them separate.
Information you give us
- Your name, phone number and email address
- The property address or suburb the work relates to
- Details about the project, including measurements, fence type and access notes
- Photos, plans or drawings you choose to send us
- Anything else you include in an enquiry, an online estimate or an email
You do not have to identify yourself to browse this website. You do have to give us contact details if you want a quote, because we cannot respond otherwise.
Information collected automatically
- Pages viewed, time on page and the link or advertisement you arrived from
- Device and browser type, and general location inferred from your IP address
- Advertising click identifiers, where you arrived from a Google or Meta advertisement
The location inferred from an IP address is approximate and often wrong at suburb level. We do not treat it as your address.
How we use it
- To prepare an estimate, arrange a site measure and give you a final quote
- To carry out work you engage us for, including scheduling and invoicing
- To respond to questions and to follow up an enquiry you started
- To understand which pages and advertising are useful, so we spend less on the ones that are not
We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose it for anyone else to market to you.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to run the business and this website. Each receives only what it needs, and each is bound by its own terms to use it for that purpose.
Measurement and advertising
These are the optional services covered by the choice you make in the privacy notice on this site.
- Google, through Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads, for website measurement and advertising performance
- Meta Platforms, for matching a visit or enquiry to our advertising
- TikTok, for matching a visit or enquiry to our advertising
Running the business
- HighLevel, the customer system where enquiries and quotes are stored
- ServiceM8, for job scheduling, site records and invoicing
- Vercel and Cloudflare, which host and deliver this website
- Sanity, which stores the website content. No enquiry or customer information is ever put into it.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to our insurers or advisers where it is reasonably necessary.
Information sent overseas
The providers listed above are based overseas, mostly in the United States, and may store or process information there or in other countries where they operate. By using this website or making an enquiry, you consent to that disclosure. Where information is sent overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with this policy, but overseas recipients are not always subject to Australian privacy law.
Cookies and your choices
This site uses a small number of cookies. Some are needed for the site to work and to remember your privacy choice; those cannot be switched off. Measurement and advertising cookies are optional.
Where the law requires your consent before optional services run, you are shown a privacy notice on your first visit and nothing optional runs until you choose. Visitors in Australia are not shown that notice, because Australian law does not require opt-in consent for this kind of measurement.
Either way, the choice stays available. Select Privacy choices at the bottom of any page to change or withdraw it at any time. Your choice is stored in a cookie named aone-consent-v1 on your own device. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then not work as intended.
This policy is not a substitute for the notice shown at the point you give us information. It sits alongside it.
How we hold it
Enquiry and customer information is held in the systems named above, which are access-controlled and require individual logins. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us over the internet or by email.
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, and for as long afterwards as the law requires us to keep business and warranty records. When we no longer need it we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is wrong or out of date. Email quotes@aonefencing.com.au or call 02 7238 0843. We will ask you to verify who you are before we release anything, and we will respond within a reasonable period. There is no charge for asking.
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first so we can look into it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business or the services we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here rather than notified individually.
